The Silver Dancers have worked with the San Antonio Spurs for the past 17 seasons. Not only do the have to practice and dance at certain home games, the Silver Dancers also go out to promote the San Antonio Spurs. The Silver Dancers make appearances to promote not only the team, but also goodwill and community fellowship. Silver Dancers have to be at least 19 to tryout. And although they cannot really demand a certain "look," most of the women who have made it through the tryouts are very physically fit. The versatile Silver Dancers not only dance, but they also cheer as well. Plus they have to be articulate and good at public speaking since they represent the San Antonio Spurs in the community at large.
