Then, she confessed that though she loved her father and speculated that he would be absolutely distraught if she departed, yet, she's dying because her spirit wanted to be with the ocean, which was calling her, like a song.

The Silver Lady turned away as the little girl went home. The very next day, the Silver Lady escaped, on her horse, and nobody knew where she went. As for her father, the madman, he became madder still, eventually drowning in the river.
