Sailing the Seas for Gold!

O.K. O.K I will be the first to admit it, yes I rode the Pirates of the Caribbean ride and did get scared the first time  rode it (hey I was 10 years old!). Now thinking about it in hindsight, the goal of any true Pirate was the search for cash for gold, sunken treasures of riches and all the adventure that they could get. But how much of this was reality and how much of the Pirates life was spiced up fiction? Well let's find out. There are actual historical documents of known Pirates and some of the names you know like Kidd, or Blackbeard and some that you may not know like the name of Bellamy, all of whom were in the search for gold, even scrap gold if they could find it! So lets explore this further, who just exactly the Pirate Bellamy?  According to modern historians Bellamy was a Pirate from England who actually took up the task to look for treasure and some how he ended up off the Florida, apparently also looking for the Gold treasure that had gold packs of gold coins.

It is not exactly certain for sure if he actually found treasures but what is know is that there were many battles fought with other Pirate clans in their quest to get gold for cash and plundered almost everything in their way. So knowing all of this I would guess that the movie Pirates of the Caribbean wasn't off by much being that a lot of Bellamy's fights did take place in the Caribbean were supposedly even traces of broken gold were to be found.  And with knowing all of this we really can see gold and the chase of getting it can even find it's way into the movies. And then one would have to ask; are there any modern day treasure hunters? Well to answer that question you don't have to look to far from glancing at your History Channel or your Discovery Channel to answer that one: apparently people still take up the task to find sunken treasures.

Apparently lots of these treasures came from Spanish and European Armadas as they searched for "New Worlds." If however you have gold to cash in you won't have to be a Pirate to enjoy that adventure. And in the mean time, keep a look out for a treasure hunter near you.
