If anyone had an Nintendo system in the late 1980's and early 1990's you knew about this classic game: The Legend of Zelda. In the first generation of the game, the main character Link gathers golden coins to increase his points in order to purchase more weapons, increase life and keep on going to save the princess of course named Zelda in the fabled land of Hyrule. The first generation of the classic Nintendo video game came in a gold packed box and shined all the way to being one of the most popular role playing games of the Nintendo game system by far in its heyday. But no game would be complete with out an arch-nemesis and in this case that arch nemesis would be named Ganon who just so happens to reside in the doomed Death Mountain. And to kill Ganon to save the Princess Zelda he does it surprisingly with a silver arrow and not a precious gold sword in this case. But more than just the sheer greatness of this game when it first came out, this was one of the first games that did not move in a linear form; you could actually move the characters in and out of rooms and in a 3-D aerial view with that as well.
This game was just so happened to have been created by the same team who created super Mario brothers and some of the other famed early Nintendo games. If you speak to those who actually had the old console and the game, you will find that there is still a soft spot in their heart even though video games have progressed so much in terms of graphics and mobility. And rightfully so, there was something about seeing that little Link selling gold for cash to increase his power and abilities, taking you all over the land of Hyrule in a land of labyrinths, caves, woods and dark dungeons fighting off evil creatures at every step of the way. The creators of this classic series probably never thought that it was an opportunity to cash in on what has become an icon of the early video games. No matter though, even if they don't remember, the true fans will always remember. Some owners of the early console have sold them off for cash, and many should know that you could sell your precious jewelry in the same way. Trust me; Link wouldn't have it any other way!
